Chalet Henriette is a recently modernised chalet with warm rustic charm. The property is located in Salvagny, just a few minutes from the beautiful village of Sixt and within 10 minutes drive of Samoens town centre and the ‘Grand Massif Express’ (GME) ski lift.

This family home combines the charm of French rustic and clean modern design to provide accommodation for 10 guests in 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.

The ground floor contains a fun and cosy living space with a fireplace and mountain views, a TV room snug and the kitchen. It is the perfect entertaining space, with deep, comfortable sofas and a large ash dining table, ideal for elaborate family dining. 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are also located on this floor and a further 2 ensuite bedrooms on the first floor.

Each of the 4 bedrooms are uniquely designed and include 3 ensuite double bedrooms and an ensuite Bunk bedroom sleeping 4.

There is parking for two cars to the side of the property and surplus parking for further 3 cars in a nearby carpark.

Home Truths

• The lower ground floor contains a separate apartment dwelling, occupied by a friendly, local ski instructor. This will not impact your privacy or full use of the property during your stay. If you would like to enquire about using Sebastien as a ski guide during your holiday, please let us know and we will put you in touch. The only place where you may cross paths, though unlikely, is via the garden access basement hallway / washing machine room below and separate from your part of the chalet. (his bathroom is across the hall from his front door). However the garden is for guests exclusively it is re-iterated that the chalet is also completely independent and private. Please let us know if you have any questions about this.

• A car is recommended to get around. However there is a ski bus stop nearby. It takes around 10 minutes to reach the ski lift in Samoens.

Location

Chalet Henriette is located in ‘Salvagny’, near the centre of Sixt Fer-a-Cheval. The location is perfect for privacy and to enjoy an authentic mountain experience. There are beginner ski slopes within walking distance or you may opt to take the ski bus to reach the principal ski domain.

It takes roughly 10 minutes by car to reach the high speed ‘GME’ lift connecting you to the Grand Massif ski domain in winter, which boasts some of the best skiing in the world. Suitable for all levels, there is over 275km of piste to explore and plenty of off-piste for more advanced skiers. In the summer, this area is a hub for adventure sports such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding.

Distances & Transport

Samoens Centre: 6km; Ski Lift: 6km; Geneva Airport: 80km (1hr 15); Paris: 600km (6hrs+); London: 1,000km (12hrs+)

A car is recommended at this chalet, but not essential as there is a ski bus stop nearby. For non-driving groups, or those with a scattered arrival time, you may additionally opt for a transfer service directly from Geneva Airport, which will take you directly to the chalet. For bookings between November – April, we recommend that you have a 4×4 or at the very least, snow chains in your car. The road is ploughed 2 – 3 times daily but it is always a good idea to arrive prepared for heavy snow conditions. if it snows heavily during the daytime. It is legal requirement in the French Alps to come equipped with snow chains that specifically fit you vehicle

Not Included: Local Tourist Taxes (Taxe de Séjour), calculated at €0.90, per adult, per night.

Policies

Chalet Henriette is available to rent all year round… Email or give us a call for any further information

Changeover day for the chalet is Saturday… However please ask if you’d like a different arrival day as we can sometimes be flexible

Security Deposit amount is €600 (or £600) – Payable by Bank Transfer before arrival

Rental payments can be paid in 2 instalments – a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking, the 70% balance will be due 60 days before arrival.

Pet Policy: We are dog-friendly and can accept up to 2 small/medium, well behaved & house trained dogs at an extra charge of €100. We ask that all furry guests are kept out of bedrooms and prevented from climbing onto furniture. All dog litter should be removed from exterior spaces (garden, porch, patio and green spaces around the property). Pets must be declared at the time of booking, with details including age, breed, size and temperament.
